Dear Sirs,

We are writing to you, because we surprisingly have heard your radio station all the
way here in Finland. We would highly appreciate receiving your confirmation of our reception.

First something about ourselves:
Patrik is 42 years old and working as a translator for the City of Vaasa. Patrik started to listen to foreign radio stations (we call it “DXing”) in 1992. Patrik is also a ham radio operator (with the call sign OH6GDX).
Ronny is 63 years old, married and working as system manager at an abrasiv manufacturer. He started DXing in 1972.

Our setup consisted of 4 Italian Perseus software receivers and an antenna
system of 14 longwires hanging on the tree branches, each about 1000-meters long (about 3200 feet), reaching out in different directions.

Because of the long antennas and favourable atmospheric conditions we were able to
pick up your signal. Our listening position was in Aihkiniemi, Inari, situated some
200 miles North of the Arctic Circle in Lapland, North Finland.
We travelled over 12 hours from the midwest of Finland to reach this place and enjoyed its excellent radio propagation for a week.

You can Google “Aihkiniemi” for more information about our listening cottage.
We heard your station KEIN Great Falls MT on February 7th, 2020, at 12:02 AM UTC
on the frequency 1310 kHz AM. The distance is about 7.040 kilometers to our listening site.

We also share some photos for you from that place.

As a proof of having heard your station, we are enclosing a short MP3 recording of the transmission which we heard.

For somewhat clearer reception, please use headphones. Can you recognize the audio as your station?

Hearing your station was such an astonishing experience for us that we would
greatly appreciate your short reply to this mail to confirm that it was indeed your station that we managed to hear.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon,

Ronny Klemets, Jepua
Patrik Willför, Vaasa

We felt this was worthy of sharing with everyone and to be fair looks like a great vacation spot as well. We did a little searching and found this on line. Feel free to check out.
